SUMMER 2013: Corey Gard won the 2013 Industry Hills City Amateur Championship at the Industry Hills Golf Club in July... he shot a 36-hole total of 139 over the tournament, finishing two strokes ahead of runner-up and fellow Titan teammate Mark Anguiano...the Villa Park, Calif., native finished tied for 24th (216) at the Memorial Amateur Championship in Carmichael, Calif., on May 26-28...Gard also competed in the Southern California Golf Association Championship and qualified for match play at the Pacific Northwest Golf Association in Bandon, Ore.
CSF '12-13: In his third season with the Titans, Gard quickly established himself as key member of the team...named All-Big West Honorable Mention...finished tied for first at the Big West Championships in San Jacinto, Calif., on April 28-30 after posting an overall score of 217 (+1)...contributed a 73.18 scoring average in 33 round...he helped lead the team to a second place finish at the Firestone Grill Invitational in San Luis Obispo, Calif. by shooting a four-over-par to tie for seventh place, including a career best of a 68 during the first round. His best performance came at the Del Walker Intercollegiate in Long Beach, Calif. when he shot 2-over-par (213) to tie for 13th place...One of his best performance came during the fall season at the Bill Cullum Invitational in Simi Valley, Calif. when he shot a three-under-par (213) to tie for fifth place.
CSF ’11-12: Corey Gard had the third best season’s scoring average for the Titans at 73.90 with 2,143 strokes over 29 rounds… his best finish was a tie for fourth at the Folino Invitational at Industry Hills on Feb. 19-21 with a 2-over 218 for three rounds… placed tenth at Monarch Dunes in October with the same score, 5-over… had one sub-70 round – a 4-under 68 on the final round at Victoria Country Club in Texas… was the most consistent Titan in first-round play with all scores between 71 and 76 in 10 events.
